The Farmhouse

Ground Floor:

Dining Room: Supplied with tables and chairs seating up to 30

Kitchen: Equipped with a large Calor Gas cooker, fridge freezer, toaster, kettles, griddle hot plate, separate hand and utensil washing facilities, ample food preparation and storage space. Extractor fans and the electric inspect killer are recommended to be used when in occupation. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils and hot water is on tap.

Washrooms: There are two separate washrooms to allow groups to provide discreet facilities for male and female users. Each washroom is equipped with two toilets, washbasins and showers, shaver points, mirrors and extractor fans. Toilet rolls and cleaning fluids are inclusive and can be obtained from the camp staff on request. Hot water to the washrooms is supplied on a pay-as-you-use basis, the meter for which is situated in the bunk room above the washrooms.

Leaders Room: This benched surround room with an open fire is the heart of the Farmhouse - oozing with Scouting character, the room is ideal for leaders to relax in or may be used as a small activity room or planning area with its large map table.

First Floor:

Bunk Rooms: Two bunk rooms at either end of the building each have the capacity to sleep up to 20-25 persons for whom mattresses and blankets are provided. Occupants should bring their own bedding.

Leaders Bunk Room: This room will sleep 6 persons on single bunk accommodation and is fitted with mattresses.

Activity Room: A 17' square room with benched surround and open fire, providing an ideal space for group activity, relaxation or additional floor sleeping accommodation.

Included in all first floor accommodation, the washrooms and dining area are electric storage heaters regulated to allow a 'warming through' of the building during your stay.

Coal, fire lighting materials, gas and purified drinking water are also inclusive in the building. The coal is stored in a covered fuel store to the right of the building, in the area adjoining the washroom wall. Gas is situated outside the kitchen.

The Cottage

Ground Floor:

Dining/Activity Room: 24' x 12' parquet blocked floor room, benched on three sides with an open fire, six large tables and additional seating generally used for both dining and indoor activities.

Kitchen: Equipped with large Calor gas cooker, cooking and eating utensils for up to 30 persons, fridge freezer, washing up area, preparation surfaces and storage space. It is advised that the extractor fan is used when cooking to reduce any condensation.

First Floor:

The first floor can now be accessed by means of a new set o stairs in the main downstairs room. A ladder also gives additional access to the bunk room above the kitchen.

Bunk Rooms: At either end of the building are bunk rooms capable of sleeping between 10-12 persons, with mattresses and blankets provided. Visitors should bring their own bedding.

Washroom: The facility is located between the two bunk rooms and includes two toilets and 4 washbasins, mirrors and shaving points. Toilet rolls and cleaning fluids are inclusive and can be obtained from the camp staff.

Storage heaters are fitted to allow a 'warming through' of the building during your stay

Coal, fire lighting materials, gas and purified drinking water are also inclusive in the building. The coal and gas are to the left of the building, in the area adjoining the kitchen wall. The camp staff will keep this area supplied and may be contacted if you run out.
